Welcome to the WSSA website. With 3 clubs in northern Utah, the WSSA makes it easy for you to learn how to speedskate and get involved in all that skeedskating has to offer. Here you will find news, events, links and info about ice speedskating in northern Utah. We are members of US Speedskaing.
The WSSA governs, so far 3 clubs in northern Utah. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate and join any of the clubs listed below. Get your skate on!
- Northern Utah Speedskating Club Located in Ogden Utah, the NUSC skates at The Ice Sheet. They skate short track *Monday mornings from 5:30AM to 7:30AM.
- Oval Speed Skating Club The OSSC is located in Kearns, just outside of Salt Lake. They skate at the Utah Olympic Oval. They are one of the few clubs in the USA that have the opportunity to skate both short track and long track indoors. Ice time is available 5 sometimes 6 days a week between both sports. They are trained under the direction of the Utah Olympic Oval programs.
- Pack City Speedskating Club ...is in fact located in Park City! They skate short track at the Park City Ice Arena *Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. They are coached by short track Olympic speedskater: Jordan Malone, among other great athletes of the sport.
